Spokane Arts is a non-profit organization devoted to promoting the arts in the local community surrounding Spokane, Washington. A key element of their identity is making art and artistic opportunities accessible to anyone, from any background. To help effectively reflect their mission, they needed a website fully catered to their and their audience’s needs and interests, which could surface the multiple artistic and creative opportunities in the community.

Our client discovery process largely consisted of encouraging them to brainstorm their most extravagant dreams for what their site could be and do for their organization and the local art community. They wanted an interactive, responsive, well-ordered site with an artistic flair and the ability to serve up the exact content site visitors need at a moment's notice. We solved for that wish by developing an advanced filtering system for surfacing art resources along with an art map of important sites around Spokane, and housing them in a theme that acts as a showcase for local art and artists.
